January 28th, 2008 marks the 20th anniversary of the Supreme Court decision that struck down all restrictions on abortions. For the last 20 years abortion is allowed in Canada throughout all nine months of pregnancy. Alberta Pro-Life is participating in a national advertising campaign to educate Canadians about the effects of unrestricted abortion. There will be billboards and transit ads across Alberta sponsored by local and provincial pro-life groups. Alberta Pro-Life will have two billboards throughout the month of January, one on Highway 3 at Taber and one on the Yellowhead Highway in Hinton. The campaign also includes these postcards. If you'd like to distribute or mail some cards, contact us at 780-421-7747 or email us at apl@albertaprolife.com. The cards are great to stimulate conversations. You can use them for "creative littering" in mall food courts, doctors' offices college or university campuses, at your church and many other locations. You can also mail them to friends, family members and politicians. If you mail one to your federal Member of Parliament at his Ottawa office, you do not have to pay for postage.
